July 2009 │ Chris Torti named Jorge Scientific Corporation
President
“Jorge is pleased to announce that Chris Torti has joined the company as President," said Judith Jorge Hartman, Jorge’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. “He will lead Jorge’s efforts to create a “Great Place to Work” and continue to expand the company worldwide."
Prior to joining Jorge, Torti spent 19 years at Stanley and Associates.
At Stanley, Torti was a Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions playing an integral role in the firm’s growth to nearly $1 Billion
in annual revenue. Torti received a B.S. degree from Clemson University in business administration and a master's certification in government contract management from the University of Virginia.
June 2009 │ ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Jorge’s Warner Robins office successfully achieved ISO 9001 certification. To achieve this certification, Jorge passed an intensive three-day audit of the processes and procedures to verify compliance to the ISO standard.
This audit and certification is the culmination of more than a year of work by the entire Warner Robins office and its leadership. The ISO team, led by Patty Crump, was comprised of Teni Siano, Ben Caldwell, Bill Cook, Susan Mason, David Robinson and Makeba Lawhorn.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification means each step of Jorge’s design, development and implementation process is tightly controlled and consistently applied. In addition, the quality of Jorge’s services and products is improved through the streamlined process of development, testing and continued customer support. This ISO certification is evidence of Jorge’s continuous focus on quality services and
software excellence.
