Twenty-four years of history with Jorge serving our customers’ technology needs with innovative knowledge and expertise.
1986
- Jorge founded by Judith Jorge Hartman.
- Awarded its first subcontract — worth $43,464 — to conduct a Tactical C-3 Interoperability Study for the DoD. This study evaluated approximately 15,000 interactions and uncovered extensive incompatibilities between platforms participating in the Grenada Intervention Operation in 1983.
1987
- Won a subcontract with Johns Hopkins University to support a Surface Combatant Force Requirements Study. Once the study was completed, Jorge was then assigned to the Center for Naval Analysis to assist in the selection of technologies for insertion into these future combatants.
1988 - 1991
- Awarded a contract to support the Naval Research Advisory Committee (NRAC) at the Office of Naval Research in October 1989. This contract for studies support continues to this day.
- Won an award to support the Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
U.S. Air Force liaison office to the Naval Air Systems Command for air-to-air missiles. - Awarded NAVAIR PMA 259 Air-to-Air Missile Systems and AIR 1.4 Security Assistance contracts, both FMS-based contracts.
- Awarded a NAVAIR 418 contract — the first multi-year contract of significant size ($8M) — which solidified Jorge’s capabilities in the Air-to-Air missile and Security Assistance arena. To this date, Jorge continues to provide professional support to the airborne and FMS communities.
1992
- Accepted into Small Business Administration's (SBA) 8(a) program.
- Awarded a Department of Labor contract for computer
systems support.
1993
- Won NASA Goddard Space Flight Center contract.
- Awarded a NAVAIR 103 FMS Policy contract worth $9.5M over
five years.
1994
- Won the prime contract to support the F-14 Tomcat and E-2C Hawkeye Program Office with technical, scientific and engineering services for Program Managers, Class Desks and Avionics Systems Program Officers (ASPOs).
1995
- Won a contract to support NASA Headquarters Codes “S” and “Y” involving the Mission to Planet Earth program.
2000
- Awarded an Office of Naval Research contract to conduct open source Data Mining internationally.
- Graduated SBA 8(a) program.
- Awarded an Air Force contract at Warner-Robins to perform GPS support services.
2001
- Won a Department of Justice Civil Litigation contract.
2002
- Awarded a Military Sealift Command contract worth $1.2M for manpower, personnel and training analysis support of the United States Naval Ship (USNS) Hospital ships.
2004
- Won an $11.7M NAVAIR Multiple Award Contract (MAC).
2005
- Awarded $195M on a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) issued by the Army Research Laboratory. The contract is designed to accommodate tasking in support of the Global War On Terror [GWOT].
- Launched Jorge's Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission programs and other successful global security initiatives.
2006
- Graduated from Small to Large Business.
2009
- Achieved ISO 9001 certification.
- Welcomed Chris Torti as Jorge’s new President.
- Reached $173M in revenue.
